I will be in Florida Dec. 10-14 working with Panasonic and Trock Media Solutions to present "When you DO Have a Dog In The Race" my tale of my Panasonic P2 Adventures on the Iditarod Trail in Alaska. If you are in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale or Tampa, I hope to see you. For details and to register, please click on this link: December Florida P2 Road Shows A memory from the 35th Iditarod Dog Sled Race. Shot with HVX-200 camera in Nome, Alaska just prior to Lance Mackey's win. Note: depending on your connection, this clip could take a little time to load.
Things have been really busy here at SPPI. I have been shooting with various Panasonic HD cameras including the HVX200, HVX500, HPX2000 and the HPX3000. I have shot in a number of locations in various conditions, and I hope to have some samples on this site soon. In a word, Whoa! Each camera has it's own strengths. I frankly love and use them all, but for different reasons. More on that to come soon. And the archiving solution might have just been solved thanks to Quantum. Just got my unit, and I am impressed, more when I get a moment to stop and write. I have just finished revising my white papers on AVID workflow with P2 for Media Composer and Xpress Pro (see www.panasonic.com) and ... I spend a wonderful week shooting with the 2000 and 3000 Panasonic cameras at Jackson Hole during the Wildlife Film Festival. What a cool event!
If that wasn't enough (you know, sometimes you have to stop shooting to edit) I taught my second class on High Def Editing at Maine Media Workshops. And I must say the students ROCK. The Giant of Maine is already a green screen legend. Still working on getting these images on line and ...there is always More to come.... Bernie
